The image is printed in vibrant colours and is taken from a suffragette poster, created by W.F. Winter, and originally produced by the Artists' Suffrage League (date unknown). Image (in shades of brown, cream and sand) shows weary and dejected British working woman at a sewing machine, with the slogan "Votes for Workers" beneath it. A masculine-looking woman attaches a 'Votes for Women' banner to her umbrella. An anti-women's suffrage image, a protest against the militancy of the suffragette movement, c.1908.
